Something a little different (for me anyway), taken in my converted garage against a plain grey background, using a couple of Nikon speedlight flashes off-camera.
My friend Steve (DS-Retouch), dropped in a new background and significntly re-touched the image.
Very nice Bernie, I really like this kind of image, It has an HDR feel, did you bracket the exposure ? (This where I’m aiming for)
Cheers
Terry
Thanks Terry, yes I really like this one myself
I took photos of the boy against a mid grey background using, as always with off-camera flash I used manual exposure mode. There’s no HDR involved, but there is a good deal of Photoshop work there.
I think the term HDR tends to get mis-used. In it’s basic form, it’s just a technique fore retaining the highlights and shadows by merging several photos. But many people perform ‘tone mapping’ at the same time as the HDR, and although that gives the image a great look, it doesn’t really seem very real (to my eyes anyway)
Cheers,
Bernie
